This small peninsula is away from the main road and centre of the village which makes this area extremely quiet.
Sunrise or sunset, both are magic. If you can, try to jump from your bed early and go to the sundeck to watch this wonderful moment when the sun is rising and the island wakes up with the sound of the birds.
The resort offers a free shuttle car service to their customers who would like to visit Bang Bao pier, the market (the fisherman village) but also would like to go to Klong Kloi beach, on the opposite side of the resort.
This free service is available every day during the high season and 7 times per day, from 9.00 am to 9.00 pm.
Because of the rocks and corals, the resort's beach is not convenient at all if you want to swim but if you have a mask and a snorkel, you can explore the underwater sea life.
The swimming pool is an excellent alternative if you don't want to go outside the resort. It's not an Olympic swimming pool but it's big enough for the size of the resort and it's very nice.
You have maybe already noticed it, Bhuvarin Resort is a small resort with only 9 clean, comfortable and spacious rooms which are divided into 3 types: Standard Pool View, Thai Villa Sea View and Deluxe Thai Villa Sea View.
In all rooms are included an LCD TV with cable-TV, air conditioning, a fridge and a private bathroom with hot water.
The floor of the rooms has just been renovated to offer better comfort.
There is a relaxing area where it's more than pleasant to read a book, sip a fruit shake or just enjoy doing nothing.
An "à la carte breakfast" is included in the price of the room and you have the choice between 2 types of breakfast: American with eggs, ham, bacon, sausages, toasts, orange juice, fruits and pancakes or Thai with a soft rice soup.
The restaurant is "basic" but authentic. They have very good Thai dishes, all prepared with fresh products. The breakfast, the lunch, the dinner, the drinks and all the snacks are served at the restaurant which is facing the bay of Bang Bao. This place is very nice, clean and quiet. You can even be there, even if it's not to eat or to drink.
The food cooked and served is maybe "basic" but extremely delicious. The Cook is taking particular attention to the presentation but also the taste of each dish served.
The Resort's staff can, of course, help you to choose, arrange and to book the activities you are interested in like snorkelling, diving, fishing, visiting the other islands, jungle trekking, elephant trekking,...
And like most of the tour boats are moored and leaving from Bang Bao pier, you don't have to worry about how to get there and you won't be obliged to wake up early to catch them. And if you want to explore the other parts of Koh Chang you can always catch a taxi or ask for private transport.
And finally, you can sunbathe on the private sundeck in peace, enjoy the silence and admire the view on the bay.
In my opinion, Bhuvarin Resort suits travellers who are looking for a quiet and peaceful place. For those who love and enjoy natural surroundings. If you are looking for a place nearby a party zone, Bhuvarin Resort is not made for you!
And on top of that, the management and staff are pleasant, friendly and very helpful.
