Koh Chang is located in the province of Trat, in the southeast of Thailand, close to the Cambodian border.
The only way to access Koh Chang is via private boats or ferries and there are 2 piers on the mainland as well as on the island which are operated by 2 different ferry companies.

Ferry Koh Chang operates between Koh Chang pier (Ao Sapporot) and the mainland (Ao Thammachart). It's the most used, also the the busiest but it's the fastest to cross the channel and there is a ferry every hour.
Centerpoint pier on Koh Chang is just a couple of kilometres away from Ao Sapporot and it's going to the Mainland pier. Prices are the same for both piers but Centerpoint is a bit slower and operate every 1,5 to 2 hours.

Ao Sapporot pier is the most used between Koh Chang and the mainland, which means it's the busiest but also the fastest to cross the channel.
Centerpoint is the second pier and just a couple ok kilometres away from Ao Sapporot. It's cheaper but the waiting time is often longer.
